Three Quick and Easy Vegan Deserts to Satisfy That Sweet Tooth

Since being vegan I have found it more difficult to satisfy that sweet tooth. I can’t just go into the tin of chocolates and help myself there anymore! So, I’ve found some ways I can satisfy that sweet tooth in a quick and easy way and I’m here to share those with you now.

Shortcrust Pastry S’mores

For this recipe you will need:

  1. Shortcrust pastry roll
  2. Dandies Marshmallows
  3. Moo Free Choccy Buttons

Method:

  1. Cook the pastry for 10 minutes at 200°C
  2. Place the chocolate buttons and marshmallows on top of the pastry and cook for a further 4 minutes
  3. Watch the chocolate melt and the marshmallows get nice and toasty
  4. Enjoy!

Shortcrust Pastry Jam Roll

For this recipe you will need:

  • Shortcrust Pastry
  • Any flavoured jam (I used strawberry)
  • Icing Sugar
  • Vegan ‘Heavenly whipped’ cream (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C
  2. Cut the preferred size of roll out in the pastry
  3. Fill the pastry strip with jam
  4. Roll up the pastry to make a closed off roll
  5. Bake for 12 minutes
  6. Take out and cover with icing sugar
  7. Enjoy either like this or add vegan squirty cream for a tasty extra!

Jam Tarts

For this recipe you will need:

  • Shortcrust Pastry
  • Your favourite flavoured jam

Method

  • Preheat the oven to 200°C and grease the muffin tray.
  • Roll the pastry out and make circular shapes either using a cutter or a glass.
  • Place the circular pastry shapes into the muffin tray and add a teaspoon of your favourite jam into the middle.
  • Cook for 10-15 minutes.
  • Take these tasty treats out of the oven, let them cool down and enjoy!
